WAHA LOGO

The Weeneebayko Area Health Authority logo represents the combining of the two organizations by merging the two logos of Weeneebayko General Hospital and James Bay General Hospital.
The geese are taken from the JBGH hospital logo and they represent the customs and culture that is present in all the communities, which is partaking in the traditional spring and fall goose hunt. Preserving the customs and culture is beneficial in keeping the spirit healthy of the members of the community.
The two bays are represented in both the logos and they are also in the name Weeneebayko Area Health Authority. Weeneebayko is the Cree meaning "of the two bays".
As in the WHA logo the following is still represented through the four medicine wheel colors:
- Man: white, yellow, red and black;
- Holistic/traditional health: emotional, mental, physical and spiritual;
- Laws of humanity: kindness, honesty, sharing and strength, and
- Stages of man: child, adolescent, adult and elder.
